This School Chess Set PLUS is a practical teaching package for learning and practising chess at school, in a club, at a community centre or during extra-curricular lessons. It brings together ten student sets and one large demonstration board, so a teacher can explain positions to the whole group while everyone else plays on their own boards.

What’s included

The playing pieces are made from plastic and follow the popular tournament size No. 6. The king stands 96 mm tall, which makes the set comfortable for everyday teaching and practice. The student boards are folding cardboard chessboards in a yellow-brown finish. They have a wear-resistant, protected surface and fold away neatly, which makes it easier to store several sets together.

The demonstration board is a rolled magnetic chessboard. Its larger format makes it easy to show piece placement, openings, exercises and game analysis to a bigger group. The set also includes magnetic pieces for the demonstration board and a carrying case for transport and storage.
